The Landfill Committee Of The Carter County Commission Is Considering Raising The Tipping Fee For Household Waste. The Fee Currently Stands At $42.50 Per Ton. Committee Chairman Gary Blair Said The Landfill Cannot Continue Operating At This Amount. It Would Take Roughly Around $53 Per Ton To Break Even. Figures Are Still Being Calculated And Will Be Presented To The Committee Next Month.
