Johnson City Leaders Have Agreed To Accept A Deal With Washington County, Which Means The City Won’t File A Lawsuit. The Agreement Will Allow For The Construction Of A New School In Jonesborough. Under That Plan, Jonesborough Will Borrow 33 Million To Build A New K-8 School And Athletic Complex. The Town Will Then Lease The Facility To The County With An Option To Purchase. Johnson City Will Receive Money From The County To Go Toward A New Elementary School And Additions At Three Other Schools.
