The Carter County Budget Committee Voted 6 To Zero To Give Government Employees In The County The Largest Bonus Ever Given To Its Workers. The Recommendation Would Give Full Time County Employees A 1,250 Dollar Bonus And Part-Time Employees Would Receive A 625 Dollar Bonus To Be Paid Before Christmas. Committee Members Felt This Money Was Appropriate With So Many Of The Employees Working In The Public During The Height Of The Pandemic
