Three Southwest Virginia Projects Are Receiving Part Of A 43-Million Dollar Grant. The Funds Are Being Managed By The Appalachian Regional Commission And Are Provided Through The Power Initiative. Just Over 793-Thousand Will Go To The Health Wagon In Wise County To Establish A Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. 50-Thousand Dollars Will Go To The Lenowisco Planning District Commission To Develop A Plan To Establish A Fiber Network In A 13 County Region. Lastly, Just Over 39-Thousand Dollars Will Go To The Center For Rural Development To Be Used To Create A Rural Leaders Institute For Southwest Virginia.
