Bristol Virginia School Leaders Have Approved Spending Federal Coronavirus Aid Money To Expand Outreach To Students Who Are Struggling With Virtual Learning. Roughly 30-Percent Of The School System’s Students Are Doing Virtual Classroom Learning At Home. The Federal Cares Act Will Be Used To Hire Three Part-Time Employees At 20 Dollars-Per-Hour To Assist Teachers With Remote Learning Student And Serve As A Liaison Between The Student, Family, And School. The School Board Also Hired A Full-Time Person To Answer Phones And Manage Visitor Entry Of Central Office.
