A Honda Pilot Going Westbound On Route 65 Attempted To Make A Left Turn Onto Route 23 Pulling Into The Path Of A Honda Civic. The Driver Of The Pilot 69 Year Old Richard Spivey Of Kingsport Tennessee Was Treated At The Hospital For Minor Injuries. He Was Wearing A Seatbelt. The Driver Of The Civic 58 Year Old Connie Hensley Of Duffield Virginia Was Pronounced Dead At The Hospital. A 15-Year-Old Passenger In The Civic Was Flown To The Hospital For Treatment Of Serious Injuries. Neither Person In The Civic Was Wearing A Seatbelt. Spivey Is Charged With Failure To Yield The Right Of Way.
