There Are 11 Development Projects In Southwest Virginia’S Coalfield Region That Have Been Chosen For Possible Grant Funding From The Abandoned Mine Land Pilot Program. The Money Will Be Administered By The Virginia Department Of Mines, Minerals, And Energy And Is Funded By The Federal Power Plus Pilot Program. Various Amounts Of Money Will Go To Different Projects Within Multiple Counties In Southwest Virginia.
