There’S A New Commander At The Holston Army Ammunition Plant In Kingsport. Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Carpenter Has Been Sworn In And Is The First On-Site Commander At The Facility Since 2004. Carpenter, A Native Of Ohio, Said He’S Excited About The Opportunity And Is Looking Forward To Making A Positive Impact. The Plant Is A Major Supplier Of Explosive Materials To The U.S. Department Of Defense. BAE Is The Operating Contractor Of The Facility.
