A Bristol Virginia Group, Known As Future Black Leaders Coalition, Is Calling For School Board Chairman Steve Fletcher To Resign After He Allegedly Made A Controversial Comment On An Illustration Shared On Social Media Of A Black Man Being Shot Recently In The Back By Police. Fletcher Defends His Comments, Saying He Was Not In Any Way Condoning Unwarranted Violence Against Black Americans. He Apologized For The Issue Being Misconstrued From A Personal Comment To Become A Public Burden To Others. Superintendent Keith Perrigan Said He’S Discussed The Comments And Matter With At Least One School Board Member. The Next School Board Meeting Is Set For September 14Th.
