New Details Have Been Released In The Murder Of A 72-Year-Old Big Stone Gap Virginia Woman. Reports Indicate Officers Were Conducting A Welfare Check On Albermarle Street When They Encountered 31 Year Old Joshua Smith. Officers Made Entry Into The Home And Found Charlene Osborne On The Floor With What Appeared To Be Multiple Stab Wounds To Her Neck And Chest. Smith Allegedly Admitted To The Murder And Said Before He Stabbed Osborne He Had Attempted To Smother Her With A Pillow. Documents Show Osborne Was Smith’s Grandmother. Smith Is Charged With Second Degree Murder, Solicitation Of Another To Conceal A Body And Several Other Charges. He Is Being Held Without Bond.
