Federal Grant Funding Will Help Cover 75-Percent Of The Cost Of A New Kingsport Area Transit Service Garage. 2.4-Million Dollars Is Being Provided Toward The 3.2-Million Dollar Project Through The Tennessee Department Of Transportation’S Improve Act Grant. The 23-Thousand Square Foot Building Will Be Constructed Adjacent To The Current Kats Terminal And Will Feature Six Bays, A Wash Bay, A Small Office With Storage Space And Restrooms. It Will Hold The Entire Fleet Of 22 Vehicles With Extra Space Available.
