Ballad Health Is Making Changes And Relocating Staff To Help Create More COVID-19 Dedicated Beds. ICU Admissions At Russell County Hospital And Smyth County Community Hospital Have Been Temporarily Discontinued. Hancock County Hospital And Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Will Both Have Pauses On All Medical Admissions And Surgical Procedures, And Staff There Will Be Moved To Holston Valley To Help Prepare For A Surge. According To Ballad 70 Of The 100 Dedicated Beds Are In Use, With The Changes There Will Be 50 New Beds Bringing To The Total Across The System To 150.
