Sullivan County Leaders Have Decided Not To Move Forward With A Passed Resolution That Would Decrease The Size Of The Commission From 24 To 18. The Change Is The Result Of Growing Support To First Allow For Census Results Before Making Any Changes To The Number Of Members. The Original Change Would Have Also Reduced The Number Of Districts From 11 To 9. Compensation Will Remain At 7-Percent Of The County Mayor’S Salary Of Just Over 87-Hundred Dollars Per Year.
