The Hawkins County Public Safety Committee Has Voted To Replace The County’S Failing Emergency Radio System. The Option Chosen Is A Vhs Analog System With An Estimated Cost Of 420-Thousand Dollars. The Only Other Alternative Happens To Be The Most Expensive, Which Is A Tennessee Advanced Communications System With A Price Of Over 4-Million Dollars, Not Including Antennas. The Issue Must Now Go Before The Full Commission For Approval.
