A Petition By Members Of United Campus Workers At East Tennessee State University Has Been Circulating Since The Beginning Of This Month Asking Leadership To Preserve Instruction And Commit To Not Layoff Adjunct Faculty. This Comes After Administrators At The College Reportedly Began Considering Instruction Funding Reductions To Address A Potential Budget Shortfall During The Pandemic. An Alternative Recommendation Is Being Made To Temporarily Reduce The Salaries Of The Highest-Paid Employees To Help Prevent The Layoffs.
