Kingsport Leaders Have Decided Not To Move The Municipal Election Date. A Proposal Had Been Made To Move Municipal Elections To August Or November. The Election Is Held Every Two Years In May With Four Of Seven Seats On The Ballot. The Idea Of Moving The Elections Was To Increase Voter Turnout And Save As Much As 35-Thousand Dollars. There Was Little To No Support For The Change. The Next Election Will Take Place May 18Th.
