A JOHNSON CITY MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING TWO PEOPLE WITH A KNIFE IS IS SET TO BE ARRAIGNED TODAY IN GENERAL SESSIONS COURT. 71 YEAR OLD LARRY MATHEY IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND PUBLIC INTOXICATION. THE CHARGES STEM FROM AN ALTERCATION IN THE AREA OF THE JOHN SEVIER CENTER ON EAST MARKET STREET. HE’S ACCUSED OF BRANDISHING A KNIFE AND THREATENING TWO VICTIMS WITH IT.
