Hawkins County Is Still Using Backup Emergency Radio Equipment. The County’S Equipment Failed Just Before The Coronavirus Pandemic And Meetings To Try To Get The Issue Resolved Have Been Delayed Until Now Due To Covid-19. Mayor Jim Lee Is Putting Pressure On The Commission To Get The Issue Fixed Before Something Happens. The Public Safety Committee Will Call A Meeting As Soon As There’S Any Update On The Issue.
