Hawkins County Educational Leaders Have Made The Decision To Close McPheeters Bend And Keplar Elementary Schools At The End Of The 2020-21 School Year. The Closures Are Due To The Findings Of An Economic Study Completed Earlier This Year That Revealed Shuttering The Schools Would Save More Than 3-Million Dollars. Community Meetings To Discuss The Closures And Transitions Will Be Set At A Later Date.
