The Tennessee Supreme Court Has Issued Directives This Week To Continue Suspending Most In-Person Court Proceedings Until April 30Th. Several Clarifications Have Been Made, Such As Ordering Judges Not To Move Forward Cases Involving Eviction Unless Its In Exceptional Circumstances. Courthouses Are To Remain Open For Essential Hearings And Filings, And Judges Must Submit Plans To Reduce The Local Jail Population. Court Proceedings That Do Not Involve In-Person Contact Are Also Being Urged.
