The First Draft Of An Economic Study For The Hawkins County School System Is Complete And Will Provide Information On Ways To Cut Costs. The Study Addresses Things Such As Reducing The Number Of Teacher Salaries In The Budget By Not Rehiring And Filling Certain Positions Vacated Through Routine Attrition. It May Determine The Fate Of The County’S Two Smallest Schools Keplar & McPheeters Bend Elementary Schools. The Board Will Meet March 31St To Discuss The Preliminary Findings.
