The Johnson City Education Association Is Opposing A Proposed 12-Million Dollar School Funding Deal Between The City And Washington County. The Association Claims The Deal Fails To Provide Appropriate Funding. Johnson City Board Of Education Chairman Tim Belisle Alleges The City District Will Receive Significantly Less Than They Are Entitled To If City Leaders Accept The Deal. The School System Needs Roughly 30-Million Dollars In Capital Needs. Belisle Said The City District Will Wait And See What Happens With The Deal.
