The Washington County Tennessee Commission Has Approved A 12.5 Million Dollar Deal To Help Johnson City Schools Out With Its Capital Needs. The Interlocal Agreement Calls For The County To Pay The City $500,000 Dollars A Year Over A 25 Year Period. Johnson City Is Expected To Use The Funds For School Building Needs. This Comes After The County Entered A Similar Agreement With The Town Of Jonesborough For A New 32 Million Dollar K-8 School. Commissioner Kent Harris Was One Who Voted Against The Deal Saying The County Needs To Get Its Spending Under Control.
