A Sullivan County Chancery Court Judge Has Denied A Motion To Delay The ‘Baby Doe’ Lawsuit. The Suit Was Brought In 2017 By The Northeast Tennessee District Attorneys General Seeking To Hold Drug Manufacturers Accountable For The Region’S Opioid Crisis Under The Drug Dealer Liability Act. The Delay Attempt Would Have Put The Trial Off By Four Months. A Trial Date Is Set For May 18Th And Last Up To Four Weeks.
