According To Preliminary Figures From The Virginia Department Of Emergency Management, Recent Flooding Has Caused At Least 2-Million Dollars In Damage In Russell And Tazewell Counties. The Town Of Richlands Was One Of The Hardest-Hit Areas With Just Over 1.6 Million In Destruction. Over 647-Thousand Dollars Worth Of Damage Was Reported In Tazewell County. Cleanup Is Ongoing And Some Roads And Bridges Remain Closed.
