Kingsport Housing Redevelopment Authority Is Working To Secure Funding For The Redevelopment Of The Lee Apartments Site. Plans Are In The Works To Build More Than 50 Townhouses And Duplexes At The Site With An Estimated Cost Of 51-Million Dollars. The City Has Set Aside Its 3-Million Dollar Share. The Housing Authority Has Applied For 9-Percent Tax Credits From The Tennessee Housing Development Agency To Help Fund The Remaining Cost.
