The Eastern Band Of The Cherokee Indians Are Set To Acquire 200 Acres Of Land In Sevier County Along Exit 407 Of Interstate 40. Plans For Development Are In The Works But Haven’T Been Finalized. Ideas Being Thrown Around Include A Hotel And Convention Space That Could Be Converted Into A Casino In Addition To Workforce Housing, Tax Credit Housing Or A Retirement Community.
