A KINGSPORT MAN WHO WAS SHOT SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE WEEKEND AT A CITY NIGHTCLUB REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL. POLICE ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR 21 YEAR OLD HUBERT LEE SCRUGGS OF JOHNSON CITY. THE SHOOTING OCCURRED EARLY SUNDAY MORNING IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE LIME LIGHT CLUB ON STONE DRIVE. 20 YEAR OLD DESHANNON BRADLEY WAS SHOT ONCE IN THE FACE, ONCE IN THE ABDOMEN AND TWICE IN THE LEG. POLICE SAID THE INCIDENT IS RELATED TO A MAY SHOOTING LAST YEAR AT CLUB 229 ON LINCOLN STREET IN WHICH SCRUGGS WAS WOUNDED AND LOST A PORTION OF HIS LEG. NO ONE WAS EVER CHARGED. SCRUGGS IS BELIEVED TO HAVE FLED THE STATE AND IS IN A BLUE 1991 FORD EXPLORER WITH A TENNESSEE DEALER TAG. AN ARREST WARRANT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR SCRUGGS CHARGING HIM WITH ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON HIS WHEREABOUTS, SHOULD CALL POLICE.
