Sullivan County Leaders Have Voted To Approve The Creation Of A New County Veteran Service Office. The New Facility Will Be Located In Blountville And Will Cost 114-Thousand Dollars Per Year. It Will Be Staffed By A Full-Time Honorably Discharged Veteran Officer And A Full-Time Secretary. It Will Focus On Helping Veterans, Their Dependents And Widows File For Compensation And Various Benefits In The Veterans Administration System. The Specific Blountville Location Of The Office Has Yet To Be Determined.
