The Kingsport Board Of Mayor And Aldermen Has Approved A 16-Million Dollar Mandated Plan To Meet Federal Requirements For Individuals With Disabilities. The School Board Also Recently Voted To Approve The Americans With Disabilities Act Transition Plan. The Joint City/School System Plan Would Cost Just Over 14-Million Dollars For The City And Just Over 1-Million Dollars For The School System’S Projects. It’S Expected To Be Budgeted Over 15 Years And Could Take Up To 25 Years If Needed.
