Kingsport City Manager Christ McCartt Has Put Together A Code Enforcement Task Force. City Leaders Have Dedicated An Additional 80-Thousand Dollars To Mowing High Grass And Tearing Down Dilapidated Vacant Structures. Historically, Kingsport Has Been Reactive In Its Code Enforcement, Responding To Complaints. The Task Force Will Look Into What Other Cities Are Doing And Have A Conversation About Which Efforts Are Being Done Well, What Areas Need Improvement, And Determine If The City Has The Necessary Resources.
