Just Over 8-Million Dollars In Grant Funding Will Be Shared Between Law Enforcement Agencies And Community-Based Criminal Justice Programs. Some Of The Funds Are Coming From The Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program. 406-Thousand Dollars Total Were Given To Over 10 Agencies Within Southwest Virginia. 
The Wise County Sheriff’S Office Received Over 109-Thousand, Haysi Police Received Over 27-Thousand, Bristol Police Got 29-Thousand, Marion Police 85-Thousand Dollars, Smyth County Sheriff’S Office Was Given 25-Thousand, Damascus Police Received Just Over 46-Thousand While Dickenson, Buchanan And Russell Counties Received 85-Thousand Dollars.
