Improvements Are Coming To Interstate 81. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam Has Signed Legislation Allowing For 2.2 Million In Infrastructure Enhancements To Address Frequent Crashes And Weather Related Incidents. The Changes Include New Cameras, Message Signs And Additional Safety Service Patrols. The Improvements Will Come From A New Registration Fee For Large Non-Passenger Vehicles. There Will Also Be Several New Taxes, Including A Roads Tax And Diesel Fuel Tax. The Changes Will Take Effect On July 1st.
