The Washington County Virginia Board Of Supervisors Decided Not To Take Any Action Yet On A Proposed Purchase Agreement That Would Buy The Former Kmart Building In Abingdon To Be Used As A County Courthouse. The Board Tabled The Motion For At Least Two More Weeks. The Historic Courthouse On Main Street Is Just Too Small For Current Court Functions And Moving The Court Would Require A Referendum, Which Is Only Allowed Once Every 10 Years.
