A Man Accused Of Killing One Person And Injuring Another On The Appalachain Trail In Southwest Virginia Has Been Arraigned In U.S. District Court In Abingdon.  A Federal Judge Ordered 30 Year Old James Jordan Of Massachusetts To Undergo A Psychiatric Evaluation To Determine If He’s Competent To Stand Trial. He’s Charged With Murder And Intent To Commit Murder. He Allegedly Stabbed A Male To Death And Then Stabbed A Female Multiple Times. She Played Dead And Then Later Went For Help. Two Other Hikers Were Able To Run Away. Jordan Will Appear Back In Federal Court At A Later Date.
