The Virginia General Assembly Has Passed Legislation That Could Bring Casino Gaming To The Commonwealth And Bristol, If Approved By Voters. This Is Considered A Win For The 250 Million Dollar Bristol Resort And Casino Project Planned At The Former Mall Site. The Substitute Senate Bill Authorizes Casino Gaming To Be Regulated By The Virginia Lottery Board. The Bill Requires The Joint Legislative Audit And Review Commission To Report No Later Than November 1st. The Referendum Must Be Adopted Prior To January 1st 2021.
