The Carter County Sheriff’s Office Is The First In The Region To Use A New Technology Which Detects When A Deputy’s Ballistic Vest Is Shot Or Stabbed And Sends An Alert. School Resource Officers Are Now Wearing The Automatic Injury Detection Sensor In Their Vest. The Sensor Works By Linking An SRO’s Smartphone And Can Even Open The Microphone, Allowing Others To Hear What’s Going On. Thanks To A Partnership With Sprint Each Officer Has A Smartphone That Supports The Technology.
