A Developer Is Looking At Transforming The Old Masengill’s Building In Downtown Johnson City Into An Apartment Complex And Restaurant. The Store Closed Down Earlier This Year After Being In Business For Over A Hundred Years. The Developer Reportedly Wants To Save The History Of The Building Which Housed Masengil’s Since The Early 1900’s. The Developer Wants To Place A Restaurant On The Ground Floor And Place Ten Apartments On The Second And Third Floors. The Project Is Expected To Be Completed Within The Next Eight Months To A Year.
