The University Of Tennessee Reports It’s Considering Former GOP Gubernatorial Candidate And Knoxville Businessman Randy Boyd As The Interim President. The Board Of Trustees Plans To Put The Consideration To A Vote On September 25th. The Appointment Would Be For A 24 Month Term Or Until A New President Is Established Following An External Search By The University. The School Reported Boyd Has Declined A Salary If Selected. University President Joe Dipietro Announced Earlier This Week That He Plans To Retire From Active Service November 21st.
