Bristol Virginia City School Leaders Have Chosen To Work With J.A. Street Incorporated Of Blountville On A Proposal To Build A New City Elementary School. The Plans Call For Just Over 85-Thousand Square Feet In A Single Story Structure To Be Built On Land Adjacent To Van Pelt Elementary Near I-81’s Exit 7. The School Will Be Funded By The Closing Of Highland View, Stonewall Jackson And Washington-Lee Schools. Several Other Documents Must Be Approved By The School Board Next Month And Sent To The City Council Before Construction Can Move Forward.
