A Hawkins County Inmate Is Facing Additional Charges After Trying To Escape From Jail. According To Deputies, Jerry Arrington Was Found Sitting On Top Of His Cell Door With His Hands Covered In Blood And A Cover To An Air Duct In The Cell Missing. Upon Further Inspection They Found The Damaged Cover Inside The Cell, Along With A Bag Containing Court Documents Belonging To The Inmate. Arrington Is Now Facing Charges Of Misdemeanor Attempted Escape And Vandalism Under One Thousand Dollars, Along With His Original Charges. A Court Date Has Been Set For August 6.
