Lee County’s Hospital In Southwest Virginia Has Moved One Step Closer To Re-Opening. The Virginia Commissioner Of Health Has Signed An Extension Of The Hospital’s Certificate Of Need Through December 31st. This Means Efforts To Refurbish, Furnish And Equip The Jonesville Facility With Hopes It Will Open Soon. Wellmont Health System Closed The Facility Nearly Five Years Ago. The County Then Established Its Own Health Authority, Obtained The Property And Sold It To Americore To Restart Operations. The 25-Bed Facility Will Also Have A 24 Hour Emergency Room, A Laboratory And Radiology Department.
