A New State Law In Tennessee Is Giving Prosecutors A More Aggressive Tool To Go After Those Selling Or Distributing Fentanyl. The New Law That Went Into Effect In July Allows A Dealer Or Distributor To Be Charged With Second Degree Murder If Any Amount Of Fentanyl Is Found In An Overdose Victim’s System After Death. A Second Degree Murder Conviction Would Mean A Minimum 15 Years Prison Sentence.
