The State Of Tennessee Is Questioning The Town Of Unicoi Over Whether Its Attorney Is Actually A Town Employee. Attorney Lois Davis-Shults Has Worked For The Town For 18 Years And Was Recently Notified By The Department Of Treasury That She’s Not Eligible To Be Part Of The State’s Retirement Program Because She’s Not A Full-Time Employee. The Board Of Mayor And Alderman Took No Action On The Issue This Week. Meanwhile, The State Is Trying To Come Up With A Corrective Plan Of Action.
