A Random Permit Drawing To Determine Who Will Be Allowed To Purchase The Harvesting Permits And Letters Of Applications Will Be Accepted From August 1st Through The 19th. 20 Permits Will Be Allowed In The Watauga And Unaka Ranger Districts. They Are 20 Dollars And Limited To One Person Over The Age Of 18. Ginseng Plants Can Sell For Between 3 And 600 Dollars Per Pound.
