The City Of Rogersville Is In The Midst Of Enforcing A City Ordinance Dating Back To The 1980’s That Bans Pit Bulls Within City Limits. An Animal Control Officer Was Hired Leading To Recent Updates Of The Ordinance. The Change Defines Any Dog That Has 50% Or More Pit Bull In It’s Mix Be Included In The Ban. City Attorney Bill Phillips Said The City Won’t Just Be Going Around Confiscating The Dogs. A Complaint Would Have To Be Made Followed By An Investigation. Those With Dogs That Don’t Cause Any Problems Or Create Issues, Will Likely Not Have Any Sanctions Against Them.
