Mount Carmel Leaders Are In The Process Of Replacing The Town’s Personnel Policy. The Changes Increase Liability By Giving Employees Rights They Aren’t Guaranteed By The State, Which Is An At-Will Employer State. The University Of Tennessee’s Municipal Technical Advisory Service Recommended The New Policy, Which Addresses Employee Grievances, Vacation Buyback And The Family Maternity Leave Act. Town Leaders Have Passed The First An Ordinance Repealing The Town’s Current Personnel Policy. It Will Still Have To Pass Two More Readings.
