A Southwest Virginia Man Accused In A Deadly Crash In Saltville Is Being Held Without Bond. 31 Year Old Curtis Nipper Jr. Is Facing Murder And Malicious Wounding Charges. Virginia State Police Said The Incident Started When Nipper And His 30 Year Old Girlfriend Got Into An Argument On Poor Valley Road In Smyth County. She Left Walking And Nipper Later Picked Her Up On Allison Gap Road. Meanwhile, There Was A Domestic Incident Going On At The Same Time At A Home Near Allison Gap Road. Nipper, His Girlfriend And Two Individuals, A 46 Year Old Male And 67 Year Old Katherine Hogston, Then Had An Encounter With One Another. The Male Reportedly Fired A Shot At Nipper’s Vehicle As He Drove Away. Police Said Nipper Allegedly Turned The Vehicle Around And Struck And Killed Hogston And Seriously Injured The Male. The Incident Remains Under Investigation.
