A Groundbreaking Has Been Held In Southwest Virginia For A New Training Center To Allow Students To Learn In Several Transportation Based Fields And Become Certified. The Event Was Held At The Southern Gap Transportation And Logistics Center In Buchanan County On Route 460. The Five Million Dollar Facility Will Provide Training In Such Areas As Diesel Repair And Classes That Will Allow Drivers To Obtain CDL Licenses. The 35-Thousand Square Foot Building Will Provide Training Bays, Lab And Classroom Space As Well As A 2.5 Acre Paved Training Track For Trucks. The Partnership Will Include A Curriculum Set By Officials At Southwest Virginia Community College.
