Sgt. Matt Cousins Will Receive The Honors Today At The 147th Annual NRA Meetings And Exhibits In Dallas Texas. Cousins Was The Second Officer On The Scene In July 2016 When Lakeem Scott Opened Fire On Passing Cars And The Days Inn. Cousins Was Wounded During The Incident. The NRA Is Rewarding Cousins For His Quick Thinking, Courage Under Fire And Life Saving Actions. A Passerby Was Shot And Killed And A Worker At The Days Inn Was Wounded During The Incident As Well.
